African King Suite
The African King offers a luxurious stay with a global African-decor touch. This room features a hand-crafted king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy. Hidden away in the armoire, guests will find luxurious robes, iron and ironing board and a television. There are two chairs and a table if you need to check email or make reservations for a fun night on the town. Enjoy a lounge chair to read a thriller or history of bourbon from our library. Guests can enjoy Southern hospitality, a gourmet breakfast, and a beautifully curated space that reflects cultural richness from Africa. All rooms are easily accessible by the elevator and no steps from the off-street parking.
Pricing:
Sunday - Thursday $199 + 15.5% tax
Friday - Saturday $219 + 15.5% tax
Reservations:
Please book on-line directly for availability.
Confirmed reservations:
After making a reservation, it will be confirmed by email with a one-night deposit by credit card. All major credit cards are accepted.
Remaining balances:
If staying more than one night, the remaining balance will be completed by cash or credit card at check-in.
Cancellations:
If you cancel by NOON 14 days prior to your arrival date, you will receive a refund of the deposit less a $30 (per room) rebooking fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the arrival date will forfeit 1 night's stay plus tax. Due to our small size, cancellations impact us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason, we uphold a strict cancellation policy.
The cancellation time frame is different for special events including: the Kentucky Derby, St. James Court Art Show, Bourbon & Beyond, Louder than Life, holiday weekends and major conventions. Cancellation at any time prior to 30 days for any of these special events will require a cancellation fee of 25% of the total reservation.
Rates &Taxes:
Our prices vary due to special events, holidays or festivals. We must charge by law the following taxes: 6% Sales Tax, 1% State Transient Room Tax and 8.5% City Tourism Tax.
